SEASIDE I GOVERNING DOCUMENTS HISTORY - TIMELINE
This is a brief outline of the timeline for Seaside I’s growth and the associated governing documents and changes to those documents over time.
Seaside I was established in 1981 with the original governing documents established then. In 1982 these documents were amended to make some corrections. Seaside I originally consisted of 46 lots located south of Forest Avenue extending across 30-A to the gulf. The area north of Forest Street behind Seaside I was occupied by the Public Works, which had laundry, maintenance, and rental support services. In 2002 it was decided to move the noise and traffic of the Public Works off site, and this area which was called Seaside 15 and marketed as Camp Smolian, added 18 new lots - increasing Seaside I to 64 total lots.
In 2007, the Seaside Town Council was formed to govern and manage the Seaside residential common areas and Seaside I joined the Town Council. In 2009 Seaside I amended the governing documents to allow Seaside Town Council to maintain the county right of way of Highway 30-A. A brief timeline of the growth of Seaside I and the associated governing documents is outlined below. Copies of the documents are available on the SI Website.
